Men In Blue.. I love you!!!! Chak Diya

AWESOME!!!! so thats what it feels like to be world champions.. Add to that beating Pakistan for the second time in a tournament to retain the no-loss record in World Cups, it is simply the chocolate syrup on my tub of ice-cream.. When i first started watching T-20 form of cricket, i thought the game would pass India by. The players we had were not really suited for the short version of the game. Australia, South Africa, even England looked to be superpowers in the making. Along comes the first T-20 World Cup and the oldies excuse themselves from the team, Dravid resigns from captaincy of the Indian Team and Mahendra Singh Dhoni is appointed captain for the T-20 and One Day teams. MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI!!! the man is anything but a cricketer, he flails his bat around and its all a hit or miss with him. But i forgot what he has, looks like my man Dhoni here has "IT", the moxie required to get a team to play for him. Man did this group of youngsters respond to him or what!!! beating Australia in the Semis, Beating Pak in the final in the last over.. it feels great to finally beat the greats and be world champions!!!! I would still like the team to set some big goals like a Series win in Australia, an ICC Championship win and finally a Regular World cup win. Out of this, the next ICC Championship and World Cup is to be hosted in India. Can you say "Home Field Advantage"? it is time to let go of Dravid, Ganguly, Agarkar etc.. We still need Tendulkar for the 50 overs game to provide some guidance for the youngsters and if Viru can get back some of his original spark and loose some weight, the two can be a 1-2 punch of role models for the young uns..

Its Great to be an Indian... this week it feels just a little more special and im walking on air

I WANT the new IPOD

Hubba hubba hubba those things look beautiful... Since the IPhone came out a few weeks ago, i was very very tempted to spend $600 and try it out. I currently have the 3rd Generation IPod and i bought that from an impromptu bonus from my manager 4 years ago.. this thing is a dinosour. But the savvy tech guy that i am, i kept up with the rumour blogs that the IPhone without the phone is comming soon. I hate AT&T and will never ever go to them for my cell service. So the declaration yesterday that the new IPod touch is out was music to my ears. I can't wait to get my hands on the 16Gb version late in Sept. My only complain is that its only 16Gb.. i already have 20Gb of songs.. add to that pics and videos.. i just wont have space!! But i still want this beauty.
I read this morning that a lot of the IPhone early adopters were angry about the $200 price cuts. But that makes no sense to me.. that is the reality of technology since man first invented the wheel, I am sure once they realized how popular the invention was, they slashed prices to get more people to use it... But im sure the early adopters were already showing off thier relaxed feet :-) That is the price you pay for wanting to play with toys, new versions will come out, new technologies will replace the ones u own, LCD TVs, Cars, Computers.. we have all seen it happen. U buy something when u want something then enjoy it without looking at price cuts and new versions. Do as i do and wait for the big release to upgrade.. the Wise Satya speaks.
