I have a confession to make.. this may shock some people who read this blog, but here goes.. I am a Himmesh Reshammiya Fan. I love his music, i love his stupid lyrics and belive it or not i can stand his nasally voice. His tunes are the catchiest in the last few years. Plus i can sing along and not feel too bad about my hoarse(horse?) voice :-)
Either way i had made up my mind to watch his movie since i heard they were working on it on my last trip to India. I figured, what the heck, we know he can put together an extended music video. Here's what i thought of the movie, HR cannot act to save his life, Hanssikka or however she spelled her name is a Juhi Chawla wannabe but she doesn't have that cuteness that made Juhi and that eventually made her irritating. Malls (Mallika) is around just for her usual, strip, get into a shower, try and seduce the hero and disappear role. The writing was shoddy and the script very predictable. But i enjoyed very much the couple of jokes the supporting cast cracks on HR in his presence, theres one about his nasally singing, theres one about his cap wearing and there's a scene where he explains his dour expressions. Those jokes got me my $2 worth.
All in all, good songs bad movie, can do better...
